William Miller Jr. Past General Commanding, General Military Council 1981-1982. He also was Past Grand Master of the Grand Lodge IOOF of Texas during 1985. He was a member of Dallas IOOF Lodge #44 and also associate member with Terrell IOOF Lodge #232. The Canton in Terrell, Texas was named in his honor when Instituted on October 10, 2009.

Obituary -WILLIAM MILLER, JR. William, Jr. a beloved husband, passed away Saturday, March 5. He was in the infantry during WWII, and a rookie on Normandy Beach- first battle he was ever in. He was wounded but he recovered! He returned to Jamestown, NY for just a few years until his parents both passed away. Then he moved to Texas to be near his sister and family. That is when he met and married Louise. Although they were not blessed with children, they were blessed with a great love for one another. They were married April 23, 1949. William became an accountant and did well with his profession. He was also a member of Odd Fellow & Rebekah Lodges- serving in international offices and he was also a member of Masons and Eastern Star. William Miller is survived by his wife Louise Jones Miller, nieces Susan Dilley, Renee Belfi, Barbara Mauer, Penny Taylor, Christina Provost, Anna Field, and many grand nieces & grand nephews. His nieces and nephews are with us today to remember him and also his fraternal and church families are here with us as well. There will be a formal visitation 6-8pm, Tuesday March 8 at Sparkman/Crane Funeral Home. Services 2 pm Wednesday, March 9 at Sparkman/Crane Funeral Home Chapel, interment following at Grove Hill Memorial Park, Dallas,TX.
