Edwin Ruthvin Misener had been a member of the International Order of Odd Fellows for forty-one years, during which time he was Secretary of the Dallas Lodge and Grand master of the I. O. O. F. of Texas. One of the acts he performed as an Odd Fellow was the conferring of the Odd Fellow friendship degree on Governor Allred in 1934 when he was Governor-elect.
Edwin was a member of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry in Dallas, TX. also.
